USRBC held a breakfast roundtable on national security considerations in bilateral trade and investment in Russia at the Council's Washington, DC Office. The program featured experts from USRBC members Miller & Chevalier as well as Kesarev who offered a diverse array and depth of experience from both the U.S. and Russian perspectives. The experts discussed national security and compliance issues related to the latest considerations for trade and investment in Russia and in the United States. These included challenges concerning exports of "dual-use" goods from the United States and the CFIUS process, but also how national security restrictions in Russia are impacting FDI and import substitution policies, especially with respect to critical infrastructure and the concept of technical and digital sovereignty.
