USRBC arranged a presentation by Igor Nosov, General Director of the Innopolis Special Economic Zone,
at the offices of Squire Patton Boggs in New York City,
on the creation of the Innopolis innovation city near Kazan (Tatarstan) and the potential for foreign companies and investors. Mr. Nosov gave an overview of the benefits and incentives of investing and doing business in the Innopolis as well as how this new city is expected to help drive innovation in Tatarstan and become a hub for high-tech development in Russia.View Mr. Nosov's presentation here >>
Igor Nosov was appointed General Director of the Innopolis Special Economic Zone in 2013 after serving as Deputy Head of the Moscow City Government's Department of Science, Industrial Policy and Entrepreneurship from 2012 to 2013. He has extensive experience with Russia's Special Economic Zones, having served as First Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Alabuga Special Economic Zone from 2010 to 2012 and Deputy General Director of JSC Special Economic Zones — the state-owned company that manages the SEZ — in 2010. Mr. Nosov was Deputy Head and then Head of the Alabuga SEZ from 2007 to 2010. He started his career in the Moscow office of Philip Morris International. Mr. Nosov earned his undergraduate degree from the Moscow University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and an Executive M.B.A. from Colorado State University.
