The U.S.-Russia Business Council (USRBC) respects the privacy of individuals and is committed to protecting personal information that we collect from registered users of our website http://usrbc.org and other stakeholders. The USRBC may collect personal information to provide services to its members, to register individuals for USRBC events, or for other legitimate business purposes. Personal information we collect includes contact information (i.e., name, job title, address, telephone number, email) that we receive through membership applications, online event registrations, or as provided to us for inclusion in our electronic distribution lists, our electronic database, or our membership directory. In addition to contact information, USRBC may obtain payment information to collect event registration fees or membership dues. Occasionally, USRBC may request personal information from members to submit to U.S. government agencies for on-site USRBC member meetings with government officials.

USRBC may automatically collect information about the use of our website using Google Analytics or other commercially available online tracking tools to improve our website. Google Analytics and other commercially available tracking tools identify website users by their publicly available IP addresses.

USRBC does not share personal information with non-member third parties for those third parties’ own purposes. USRBC may share personal information with our service providers in connection with services provided, including sending mass email communications or supporting our electronic database. These service providers are restricted from using this personal information in any way other than to provide services to USRBC.
We may provide electronic means, including mobile apps, for USRBC event attendees to communicate with each other for business or networking purposes. We do not pre-approve or monitor such communications between members or event attendees and such interactions are not governed by this Policy.
We may disclose information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to protect against misuse or unauthorized use of our website, to limit our legal liability, or to protect our rights or the rights, property, or safety of visitors of this website or the public, and to otherwise cooperate with law enforcement or regulatory authorities.
4. Information Security
USRBC uses appropriate technical and organizational security measures and safeguards to protect personal information in its possession. However, USRBC cannot guarantee the security of personal information. USRBC online member accounts on http://usrbc.org are protected by individual passwords that we provide to USRBC members or that members modify. USRBC members should prevent unauthorized access to their online accounts by using strong passwords, protecting them appropriately and limiting access to their computers by unauthorized persons and signing out of their accounts after using them.
